Logitech's CEO, Hanneke Faber, recently unveiled a concept for a "forever mouse," a premium gaming mouse designed for longevity through continuous software updates—a concept that has sparked considerable debate among gamers. This high-end peripheral, envisioned as akin to a Rolex in its enduring quality, would require a subscription fee for ongoing software support.

Faber, in an interview with The Verge's Decoder podcast, emphasized the mouse's potential for indefinite usefulness, likening it to a luxury watch that doesn't require replacement.
