Elden Ring Nightreign Release Date Confirmed

Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone cooperative spin-off from FromSoftware, launches May 30, 2025, priced at $40 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam).

Before the launch, a network test exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will run from February 14th to 17th. Access will be limited to five, three-hour sessions spread across the four days. This test aims to evaluate the online system's performance and functionality.

Elden Ring Nightreign is set in a parallel universe to the original Elden Ring, beginning at the Roundtable Hold. Three players, each choosing from eight unique Nightfarers with distinct abilities and Ultimates, explore the ever-changing Limveld. The game features a three-day-and-night cycle, with the "Night's Tide" shrinking the playable area. Each night culminates in a boss fight; victory leads to greater challenges, culminating in a final confrontation with the Nightlord on the third night. Failure yields relics for character customization and upgrades.

The game's core loop involves session-based adventures resembling open-air dungeons, with each playthrough offering unique enemy encounters, rewards, and map layouts. Sites of Grace allow character leveling and stat boosts. Success grants lasting stat bonuses, bringing players closer to defeating the Nightlord and uncovering the Nightfarers' stories.
