TEST 1 (NORMAL COMMUNICATION): Perform a standard speed communication test.
TEST 2 (FAST COMMUNICATION): Perform the highest-speed communication available. This is only supported by certain vehicle OBD-II protocols.
¹ The ISO 15765-4 CAN protocol is the only OBD-II standard capable of delivering up to 140 parameters per second, requiring an adapter with a higher-quality chip. Older OBD-II protocols may deliver as few as 4 parameters per second in the worst case.
