The game's PS5 version currently suffers from blurry graphics in performance mode, leaving owners of the standard console with little choice but to wait for patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has indicated that visual improvements are feasible within the platform's technical capabilities.
"Following the release of the PC version's promotional material, we received numerous requests for a comparable PS5 update. We are interested in exploring this, working within the performance limits of the PS5 version," Hamaguchi stated.
Players are hopeful that Square Enix will respond to fan feedback and enhance the visual experience on consoles.
While the development team is deeply focused on the sequel, director Hamaguchi asked for fans' patience, promising more details will be shared in the future. He reflected that 2024 was a highly successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the trilogy's second chapter.
The game garnered global attention from players and secured multiple awards. The team now faces the unique challenge of expanding the fan base with the trilogy's upcoming final installment. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also noted Grand Theft Auto VI as one of the titles that captured his interest this year, expressing support for the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
