LEGO CEO Niels Christiansen has recently shared the company's ambitious plans to deepen its footprint in the digital realm, particularly through the development of video games. These initiatives will see LEGO creating games both independently and in collaboration with other developers. Christiansen emphasized the brand's commitment to delivering engaging experiences for children across various platforms.

"We are confident that, as long as we operate under the LEGO brand, we aim to create experiences for children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Developing games internally is something we are actively pursuing." - Niels Christiansen

This strategic shift towards in-house game development does not mean LEGO is pulling away from its successful licensing agreements with third-party developers. For example, journalist Jason Schreier recently reported that TT Games, renowned for its LEGO-themed titles, is currently developing a new game, possibly linked to a Warner Bros. franchise.

LEGO's most notable gaming endeavor to date is its ongoing partnership with Epic Games. The introduction of a LEGO-themed mode in Fortnite last year has been a resounding success, quickly becoming one of the game's most popular features.

Over the past two decades, LEGO has been closely associated with the adventure game series developed by TT Games. Although new releases have been sparse recently, rumors are circulating about a potential LEGO Harry Potter game, inspired by the commercial success of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Furthermore, LEGO's collaboration with 2K Games resulted in the release of LEGO 2K Drive, a racing game launched last year, which demonstrates the brand's adaptability and innovation within the gaming industry.
