Conceived as a true urban project, The Analogous City (La Città Analoga) brings together diverse historical and architectural elements. These range from Giovanni Battista Caporali’s drawing of Vitruvius’ city (1536) and Galileo Galilei’s illustration of the Pleiades Constellation (1610), to Tanzio da Varallo’s painting David and Goliath (c. 1625), Francesco Borromini’s plan of San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane (1638-1641), the Dufour topographical map (1864), Le Corbusier’s master plan for the chapel of Notre Dame du Haut (1954), and a variety of architectural designs by Aldo Rossi and his collaborators.
