As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the excitement peaks with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This thrilling event kicks off on May 21st, 2025, and runs until May 27th, 2025, offering players a chance to bring their Kubfu to its ultimate evolution.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedication and grinding, it's time to evolve your determined little bear, Kubfu, into the legendary Urshifu. This evolution comes in two distinct forms, allowing you to choose your path based on your battling style. To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Alongside this, a Special Research quest continues the captivating Seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, including Charcadet with a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can experience Gigantamax Machamp's debut in six-star Max Battles. This event comes with a host of bonuses to enhance your gameplay.
During this window, you'll only need to travel one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Additionally, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, although the power boost remains constant.
