When it comes to hack-and-slash RPGs—or any role-playing game for that matter—there is always a dedicated group of hardcore enthusiasts. These are the masters who have meticulously optimized their builds, allowing them to breeze through standard content with ease. However, Undecember has noticed these so-called experts and presents them with the Abyss Gate, launching on October 12th.
Truly challenging content remains somewhat rare in the mobile gaming space, likely due to prevailing business models. After all, who wants to lose their progress—and hard-earned money—because of a single misstep? Yet, the Abyss Gate boldly embraces its hardcore nature by offering just one life to conquer its trials.
As expected, this heightened difficulty is matched by equally substantial rewards for those who persevere. Players who successfully complete the dungeon without taking damage can claim new Abyss Stones and Gear Slot upgrades.
Undungeon
Abyss Stones are available in three distinct varieties: Dawn, Destruction, and Distortion. The Dawn type boosts the stats of specific gear categories, while the Destruction variant enhances unique equipment attributes. Meanwhile, Distortion stones allow for modifications to existing skill mechanics.
Additionally, two new skill runes—Wrathful Blow and Toxic Mist—have been added, along with the Chain of Pain link rune, providing even more strategies for tackling the dungeon.
Of course, there are numerous incentives to explore during this new season. Players will receive a Season Promotion Box to speed up progression, alongside various other bonuses and guaranteed acquisitions of useful gear.
