Marvel Rivals' First Month: Hero Statistics Unveiled
NetEase has released comprehensive player statistics for Marvel Rivals, detailing character pick rates and win rates across all game modes after its successful launch in early December. The data reveals player favorites and underperformers, setting the stage for Season 1's launch on January 10th.
The most popular hero in Quickplay (across PC and console) is Jeff the Land Shark, showcasing his widespread appeal. However, the highest win rate belongs to Mantis, boasting over 50% in both Quickplay (56%) and Competitive (55%). Other high-performing characters include Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock.
Competitive play shows a platform-specific preference: Cloak & Dagger dominates on console, while Luna Snow reigns supreme on PC.
Conversely, Storm, a Duelist character, suffers from a remarkably low pick rate—a mere 1.66% in Quickplay and a dismal 0.69% in Competitive. This low popularity is attributed to criticisms regarding her damage output and gameplay mechanics. However, NetEase has announced significant buffs for Storm in Season 1, potentially altering her position in the meta.
Season 1 will introduce the Fantastic Four, starting with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman at launch, followed by The Human Torch and The Thing later in the season. This influx of new characters is expected to significantly impact the existing hero meta and player statistics. The upcoming balance changes and new heroes promise to shake up the Marvel Rivals landscape, making future data analysis even more compelling.
