Sony inks deal for Mukti, Indian museum game hits PS5, PC

Sony has announced Mukti, an upcoming PlayStation 5 and PC game developed as part of its Sony India Hero Project initiative.

Mukti is a first-person narrative exploration game set within an Indian museum. Developer underDOGS Studio describes it as a "deep dive into the urgent social issue of human trafficking" through interactive storytelling.

In Mukti, players explore museum corridors while uncovering disturbing truths about human trafficking. Through immersive storytelling and gameplay mechanics, the experience confronts players with survivors' realities.

Drawing from authentic accounts and historical research, Mukti aims to raise awareness and inspire action. Every interaction is designed to foster empathy and meaningful dialogue about this global crisis.

underDOGS Studio emphasized their collaboration with PlayStation to optimize DualSense controller features, including:

  • Precision haptic feedback during exploration
  • Adaptive trigger implementation for interactions
  • Subtle vibration effects during puzzle sequences
