Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Fixes Quest Blockers, Among Other Things — but There Are No Performance Improvements Yet

Author : Brooklyn Mar 14,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several key improvements and bug fixes. While this patch tackles various progression blockers and glitches, it doesn't include performance enhancements. Despite this, and a "mixed" user review rating on Steam primarily due to PC performance concerns, Monster Hunter Wilds' success is undeniable. It achieved record-breaking sales, selling 8 million copies in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. Furthermore, it boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring on Valve's platform. This is a significant jump from its predecessor, Monster Hunter: World, which peaked at 334,684 players.

A major title update is anticipated for early April, promising a new endgame area and exciting new monster hunting challenges.
