Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The game's recent attention stems from "agenda-driven" activists, including Grummz, who publicized the game's ban in Saudi Arabia. This fueled speculation about controversial content and "progressive" themes within the game.
Developers faced online attacks and calls for a boycott, aiming to dissuade players from supporting the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to trust the developers and avoid unverified online claims.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days," following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected four weeks prior to release, allowing streamers and reviewers sufficient time for preparation.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after the initial code distribution.
