Crafting Your First Camping Set
You'll unlock Camping Set crafting through Simple Synthesis after completing the manabound Dux Lighthouse, the first story-mandated manabound area. After establishing a base on the newly revealed land, return to Ligneus Survey Base and speak with Erhard to activate the camping feature.
Required materials for a Camping Set:
- 5% Energy
- 3 Wood
- 2 Water
- 5 Fiber
- 2 Charcoal
All materials can be gathered near Ligneus Survey Base. Gather Water from regional wells or riverside plants (which also yield Fiber), while Charcoal appears as an ore-processing byproduct.
When crafting through Simple Synthesis, ensure you have 4×4 inventory space. Without sufficient space, your Camping Set will be automatically transferred to your Atelier/base storage.

Choosing the Perfect Campsite
With your Camping Set prepared, you can establish temporary camps in most open areas - though narrow cliffs and dense forests won't accommodate your setup. The game features numerous pre-marked campsites like the River Campsite near Ligneus Survey Base that make ideal stopping points.
Check camping availability via the radial menu - if the Camping option in the bottom-right corner appears greyed out, your current location won't support a campsite.

Making the Most of Your Campsite
Camps serve as the exclusive locations for cooking gathered ingredients, making them essential preparation spots before challenging bosses or entering manabound areas - particularly on higher difficulty settings.
Additionally, camping triggers unique companion dialogues that offer deeper character insights, though these conversations remain separate from main story progression.
With these tips, you're fully prepared to set up camp throughout your *Atelier Yumia* journey.
