Unlocking the Secrets of "The Lion's Crest" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
This guide details how to initiate and complete the bonus quest, "The Lion's Crest," available to players who pre-ordered Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest rewards players with valuable items.
Starting the Quest:
Once you've finished the tutorial and gained access to the open world, locate the scribe Gaibl in Troskowitz. He will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick's polearm. You'll need to gather the necessary materials yourself, then craft the weapon at a blacksmith's forge.
Solving the Riddle:
The riddle reads:
"Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still."
This riddle guides you to Trosky Castle. Exit through the northern gates and head north, entering a forest.
Follow the path, watching the left side. You'll find rocky formations with crevices. Traverse these to locate a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross near the rock to find the first piece of Brunswick's Armor and two treasure maps.
Treasure Map Locations:
- Map 1: Continue west along the road from the chapel to a crossroads. Head north into the woods to a wolf den; the armor is in a bag near the trees above the den.
- Map 2: Travel to the outpost at Vidlak Pond. Behind the fisherman's house, find a large rock formation along the cliffs. A chest containing armor is near a cross atop the rocks.
- Map 3: Fast travel to Zhelejov. Leave the tavern and cross two bridges towards Tachov. After the second bridge, take a path to the river and forest. Follow this path to a hill; the armor is in a bag near a large tree at the hill's summit.
- Map 4: The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads' Camp and Bozhena's Hut. Locate rocks with a cross; the final piece of Brunswick's Armor is there.
