Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you can meet the adorable Applin for the first time. This event is perfect for those who love to collect new Pokémon and hunt for shiny variants. Here's everything you need to know about this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, the same amount of candies along with 20 Sweet Apples is required. Evolving into Dipplin and eventually Hydrapple will be the final stages of Applin's evolution.
Tart and Sweet Apples, essential for Applin's evolution, will appear in the wild. When you tap on them, you might encounter a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Using Mossy Lure Modules increases your chances of finding these Apples.
Did You Know?
Applin spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as just another fruit. It's undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Event bonuses include earning 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
You'll have a better chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, there's an increased chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another sweet addition to the event is the increased berry drops from catching Delibird and Skwovet. If you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join the fun.
