Five Dice is a dice game similar to YAHTZEE*, Yachty, Yatzy, and other popular titles. It follows classic Yahtzee rules closely. TRADITIONAL GAME MODE:
Traditional mode closely follows standard YAHTZEE rules. Each turn allows up to three rolls, with 13 turns per game. Tap dice to hold them between rolls. Maximize your points by rolling at least three of a kind in each left-side category. Score 63 or more on the left to earn a 35-point bonus. Fill the right-side categories for 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Five Dice, and Chance. Score 50 points for your first Five Dice and a 100-point bonus for each one after. Track your best games on the dedicated Traditional leaderboard.
SEQUENTIAL GAME MODE:
In Sequential play, you must allocate scores in a fixed order:
Left Side: Aces (1's) through Sixes
Right Side: 3 of a Kind through Chance
At the start, all score categories are grayed out. After your first roll each turn, the required category for that turn becomes active (white). Once you finish your three rolls, you must place your score in that active category. The only exception is rolling a Five Dice—you may score it immediately, then resume the sequence next turn. Additional Five Dice rolls earn a 100-point bonus, but you must still follow the scoring order. Compete on the Sequential mode leaderboard.
RUSSIAN ROULETTE GAME MODE:
One roll per turn—then you must assign a score, even if it’s a zero. Finding the strategy to maximize your score is part of the challenge! Russian Roulette has its own competitive leaderboard.
PLUS GAME MODE:
Plus mode lets you carry over unused rolls to future turns. A standard game has 13 turns with 3 rolls each. In Plus mode, any rolls you don’t use in a turn are added to the next turn. For example, using only 2 rolls on your first turn gives you 4 rolls on the second. If you only use 1 of those, you’ll have 6 rolls on the third turn, and so on. Plus mode features its own leaderboard.
SCORING:
After each roll, all valid scoring categories are highlighted in yellow, helping you decide where to place your points. You choose where to score each turn. Every game consists of thirteen turns with up to three rolls each. Tap dice to hold them, then reroll the rest. After three rolls, you must assign your score before proceeding. Your first Five Dice is worth 50 points; each subsequent one earns a 100-point bonus. Earn a 35-point bonus by scoring 63 or more on the left side of the scorecard.
