In the year 2XXX, a mysterious virus strikes Earth, causing a strange illness scientists call the "zombie virus." This pathogen triggers mutations in humans, transforming them into zombies of altered sizes and robbing them of consciousness. These infected beings are drawn to noise and the scent of human blood.
Players assume the role of survivors in this post-apocalyptic world. To protect their cherished home and the remaining survivors, they must construct a multi-layered base from the ground up. Utilizing a variety of defense towers is the key to fortifying their stronghold and keeping their home secure.
At the start of each level, players are presented with the playing field—an 8x8 grid—and the designated path monsters will take toward their target. Players must use puzzle-piece-shaped wall fragments to create a new path that forces monsters to walk past defensive towers, leading to their defeat. The ultimate objective is to protect the home from relentless monster waves.
The home is positioned at a predetermined spot in each stage. Players can place the puzzle pieces anywhere on the grid, with the condition that at least one space is left open in every row.
Every level consists of 6 waves of monsters. At the beginning, players can select one of two tower cards. Once chosen, this card appears alongside the puzzle pieces. Players must position it on the grid before the level commences. After each wave, they can select additional cards, which may be one of two types of tower cards or a stat card. The stat card provides a beneficial boost to all defensive towers, while the tower cards are added to the player's available arsenal.
