A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update, slated for late January, will feature a temporary event, "Grand Marcel," incorporating a multiplayer platformer game mode reminiscent of Fall Guys. This addition contrasts with Version 1.4's focus on battle-centric permanent modes.
The leak, originating from community leaker Palito, includes screenshots showcasing stages strikingly similar to Fall Guys' obstacle courses. While the specifics remain unclear, the mode is anticipated to be temporary, exclusive to the Grand Marcel event. Whether players will control their established characters or the popular Bangboo remains unknown. However, the event is expected to offer attractive rewards, including Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, supplementing the arrival of new characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.
This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event featured similar gameplay, using chibi character representations. This precedent suggests a similar approach might be taken with Zenless Zone Zero, potentially utilizing chibi versions of existing characters or even the beloved Bangboo.
