The highlight of Version 1.5 is undoubtedly the addition of two new S-Rank Agents. Astra Yao, an Ether Support character, will debut in the first phase, making her a unique addition given the rarity of Ether-based agents, with only Nicole and Zhu Yuan currently in this category. Astra's exclusive W-Engine, Elegant Vanity, will also be available for a limited time. Following her, Phase 2, starting on February 12, will introduce Evelyn Chevalier, a Fire Attacker Bodyguard, along with her W-Engine, Heartstring Nocturne.

In addition to the new agents, Version 1.5 offers a wealth of new content for players to explore. A special story will continue the narrative beyond the main storyline concluded in Version 1.4. The S-Rank Bangboo unit Snap will be available, alongside new check-in events and further game optimizations. Players can also look forward to new evolutions in existing activities, the introduction of a new Hollow Zero phase called Cleanse Calamity, and a new Arcade game named Mach 25. Additionally, new costumes for Ellen, Nicole, and Astra Yao will enhance the customization options.
A significant addition to Version 1.5 is the introduction of banner reruns, a feature fans have been eagerly awaiting. Similar to other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero will now allow players to pull for past S-Rank agents. Ellen Joe and her specific W-Engine will be available during the first phase, followed by Qingyi and her W-Engine in Phase 2.
