Yakuza Fans Pick Unique Official Merch: Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved *Yakuza / Like a Dragon* series, and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is pulling out all the stops to celebrate. Fans are being given a unique opportunity to influence the future of official merchandise by voting on what they'd like to see. With a whopping 100 different items to choose from, the studio promises to bring the top two voted items to market within the next two years. While the voting is only listed in Japanese, enthusiasts can still participate via the official website.

The range of merchandise is as diverse as the series itself. Fans can opt for more traditional items like a 20th anniversary celebration hoodie or a Yakuza-themed pencil case. However, the franchise's famously eccentric nature shines through with more outlandish options. These include the cult outfit worn by Munan Suzuki, the leader of The Order of Munan Chohept Onast in *Yakuza 0*, the giant traffic cone used by Majima to surprise Kiryu in *Yakuza Kiwami*, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants."

Other peculiar items on the list include the sake Majima enjoys in a shack in *Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth*, Akiyama's iconic gold watch, the fountain pen Kiryu uses to write to Dojima in *Yakuza 6: The Song of Life*, the tambourine Kashiwagi shakes during a karaoke session in *Yakuza: Like a Dragon*, Kiryu's wrestling mask from *Yakuza 3*, and Saejima's prisoner uniform from *Yakuza 4*, among many others.

As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations, fans can look forward to at least one new release in 2025, with *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii* set to launch on February 21. While RGG Studio made a significant impact with the 10th anniversary by releasing the beloved prequel *Yakuza 0*, no similar projects have been announced for later in the year. However, given the studio's track record of rapid development, fans shouldn't rule out the possibility of more surprises. Over the last five years alone, RGG Studio has released an impressive nine games, including *Yakuza: Like a Dragon*, *Judgment Remastered*, *Lost Judgment*, *Like a Dragon: Ishin*, *Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name*, *Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth*, and two *Super Monkey Ball* games, alongside an enhanced remaster of *Virtua Fighter 5*.
