The Last Knight is a captivating side quest that adds depth to the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main quest line or larger exploration quests, it offers a unique glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with rewarding incentives.

This side quest is notably simpler than quests like Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms in WuWa, making it a quicker and less demanding endeavor. Here's a comprehensive walkthrough of The Last Knight for those seeking guidance.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on this quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the quest What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing. We highly recommend finishing the main storyline before venturing into Rinascita, as many side quests are unlocked after completing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the necessary quests, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house along the main road exiting the town. He'll be marked by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries are performances dedicated to a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll need to participate in this performance by confronting the Mad Knight, among other tasks.

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Advance the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, then head to the pool at the center of town. This enemy isn't particularly challenging, so unleash your full arsenal to defeat it.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to find Carlow. You'll find him unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic among several chests.

The first three supply chests are genuine. However, in the next set, only one chest is real, and the rest are mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items, but be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Once you've recovered from the purple flower's effects, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations reportedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This segment involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent emanating from somewhere nearby. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. For this battle, we recommend equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot, as it can parry the Chop Chop's attacks and instantly stun it.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper will reveal that there was never a legendary knight in Whisperwind Haven. Instead, he and other Windmill Keepers posed as knights to protect the people. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him being taunted by a pair of knights. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to protect and challenges one of the men to a duel, shedding his idealized vision of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a protector.

The quest concludes after Carlow's challenge, with no further developments. Completing The Last Knight will reward you with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources, and it will be marked as completed in the Tales of the Isles event.
