The Fishing Strategy: A Cooperative Approach
Previously a solitary endeavor, obtaining these mounts is now significantly easier thanks to a recent patch. Here's the updated strategy:

Draenor Angler Achievement: While not strictly required to join a group, the Draenor Angler achievement (catching 100 of each Enormous Fish species in Warlords of Draenor) is highly recommended. This unlocks a level 3 garrison fishing shack, drastically increasing your chances of catching the necessary fish.

Fishing for Carp/Minnows: Alliance players target Lunarfall Carp, while Horde players fish for Frostdeep Minnows at their fishing shack. The drop rate remains low (around 3%), so maximizing your fishing efficiency with optimal gear and buffs is crucial.

Summoning the Cave Dwellers: Returning the fish to the lake summons either the Lunarfall Cavedweller (Alliance) or Frostdeep Cavedweller (Horde). These formidable creatures have a chance to drop the Riding Turtle or Sea Turtle mounts.

Group Effort: The key change is the ability to form raid groups (up to 40 players) to share the loot from the Cave Dwellers. This significantly increases your odds of obtaining the mount.
Why Now Is the Time to Act
The updated group mechanic transforms the odds. Previously, the combined drop rate was extremely low (3% fishing, then 0.5% from the Cave Dweller). Now, with a 40-person raid, the chances are drastically improved. Even without the Draenor Angler achievement, joining a group increases your chances, though contributing to the fishing effort will improve your standing within the group.
