The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within is ongoing. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests, setting the stage for Patch 11.1 and its focus on Undermine, the Goblin capital. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch launch.
Updated January 7, 2025 by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For optimal context, completing prior storylines is recommended to avoid spoilers. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

- No Breathing Room
- Together, Alone
- The Voice
- Ringing in the Deeps
- Good Help These Days
- Hey, What's Going On?
- Haywired and Hostile

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into potential future developments in The War Within or other World Soul Saga expansions.
Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this delay has been removed. However, unlocking this campaign necessitates completing both the leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign for The War Within (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).
If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). Khadgar's presence indicates eligibility for his quest (post-January 7th). His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
