Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the initial chapter of their new narrative adventure. Players can currently access "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" launching free to all owners on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Blending nostalgic charm with psychological thriller elements, the game draws inspiration from It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The game is divided into two parts: "Bloom" and "Rage." Only "Bloom," the first half of this captivating mystery, is available as of February 18th.
"The Tape," the second part, will be released on April 15th. Its March release was postponed to allow for further refinement.
The review embargo has been lifted, with OpenCritic reporting an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this suspenseful narrative.
