After the opening section of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll have more freedom to explore and take on side quests. One such quest involves finding Vostatek's horse, Pepik, a task that yields rewarding results.
Begin by accepting the side quest "Lackey" from Zlata at Gamemaster Vostatek's house west of Tachov. Alternatively, you can speak directly with Vitek, as Zlata will direct you to him anyway. He's located slightly southeast of the house (marked 'B' on the map above). This quest leads you north, where you'll discover Vostatek under attack by wolves.

After rescuing Vostatek, he requests your assistance in carrying him to his campsite, where he tethered Pepik. Follow his directions; it's a straightforward journey. Be mindful of your stamina, as dropping Vostatek will result in a setback.
Upon reaching the campsite, you'll find Pepik missing. Follow the trail of clues along the path, examining each one carefully as prompted. This investigation leads you to a poacher's camp.
As suspected, Pepik has been stolen by poachers. He's located at the rear of their camp. Fortunately, the poachers move around, allowing you to engage them in smaller groups. Eliminating the poachers near the camp's edge is easier, and many will beg for mercy. Alternatively, you can bypass the tougher poachers within the camp, escaping with Pepik before they attack. Note that there's no opportunity for rest between finding Vostatek and Pepik, so your health may be depleted.
Return Pepik to Vostatek's camp. You can then choose to ride with him back to his home (a fast travel option), where you'll receive a reward of Groschen and access to lodging whenever needed.
With Pepik returned, you can now pursue other quests, romances, or purchase equipment with your newly acquired Groschen.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
