Snapchat's 2024 Year in Review: Your Snap Recap!
Looking back on the past year? Many apps offer year-end recaps, and Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap is a fun way to revisit your 2024 memories.
What is Snap Recap?
Unlike Spotify Wrapped or Twitch recaps focusing on detailed statistics, Snap Recap offers a more casual overview. It selects a single Snap from each month of the year, creating a slideshow of your highlights (and maybe a few embarrassing moments!). The recap seamlessly transitions into your other Snapchat Memories, allowing you to delve deeper into past events.
How to View Your 2024 Snap Recap
Accessing your recap is simple. On the main Snapchat camera screen, swipe up to open Memories. You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.
Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to start the slideshow. The recap plays automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance through the snaps. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.
Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?
If your 2024 Snap Recap isn't appearing, don't worry. Snapchat states that the rollout is gradual, and yours may not be ready yet. The frequency of your Snap usage also plays a role; infrequent use might prevent a recap from being generated. Unfortunately, Snapchat support indicates that you cannot request a recap if one isn't automatically created.
