Unlocking the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria: A Guide

Author : Lucy Apr 11,2025

Following the March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, players can now unlock the Fire Seal after clearing the preceding altars. To unlock this seal, you need to offer four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain each of these items and successfully unlock the Fire Seal.

Where to Find Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem, a rare artifact, is located within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure you're using the latest game version and navigate to Floors 50-59. We discovered the gem on Floor 56 after some dedicated digging. Like other artifacts, you can uncover it by digging in marked areas on the ground using a pickaxe or shovel. Be prepared for some grinding as the Faceted Rock Gem is not easily found.

Rockroot, a common forageable item, can be found between Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you frequently explore the mines, you might already have this item. Look for a dark, root-like plant, as shown in the image above. Only one Rockroot is required to complete the Priestess’ altar.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are among the easiest items to acquire for the Fire Seal offerings. They can be found in Emerald geodes on Floors 50-59 in the mines. These are quite common, so you should be able to gather them quickly, especially if you have some stored already. Alternatively, you can obtain Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them at Balor’s Wagon for 200 tesserae. If you've unlocked the Stone Refinery with the March 2025 update, you can also craft them.

The Sealing Scroll is the final item needed to break the Fire Seal. This item is part of a quest that begins after you discover the seal and meet with Juniper. You'll then need to enlist Balor's help to acquire the scroll, which comes at a cost. To obtain the Sealing Scroll, you must provide:

  • x10 Silver Ingots
  • x10 Rubies
  • x10 Sapphires
  • x10 Emeralds

If you don't have these items, you can find them in the mines. Once you have gathered them, deposit them in the bin by Balor’s Wagon to secure the Sealing Scroll.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to offer these items. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, granting access to a new biome and additional content during Early Access.
