Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
To access the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages, and you'll notice a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban." This signifies an alternate ending.
Normally, this stage involves helping Liu Bei escape while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of facilitating Liu Bei's retreat.

Reduce Difficulty: Switch to "Historian" mode to make the battle more manageable. The sheer number of enemies makes this crucial, especially if you're not a high level.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This positions you closer to Cao Cao's forces, saving valuable time.

Musou Meter Management: Prepare your Musou Rage meter. Cao Cao will deploy two Grand Tactics; one requiring officer eliminations, the other demanding the defeat of 250 soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for the latter.
Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions remain before the true Shu ending is revealed.
