With all 48 participants of the upcoming Capcom Cup 11 confirmed, EventHubs has recently released data highlighting the most favored fighters among top-tier players. This information offers a telling glimpse into the current state of game balance.
Surprisingly, every one of the game’s 24 characters has made an appearance in professional play, despite the vast pool of nearly 200 competitors analyzed (including the top eight players from 24 different regions). Among them, only a single Ryu player was identified. Even Terry Bogard, the latest addition to the roster, found favor with just two players.
At the pinnacle of popularity stand Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each serving as the main choice for 17 players. Following closely behind, Akuma garners attention from 12 players, while Ed and Luke trail slightly with 11 picks each. JP and Chun-Li round out this group with 10 players apiece. Further down the list, Zangief, Guile, and Juri earn recognition as main characters for seven players each.
The Capcom Cup 11 is set to take place in Tokyo this March, promising a thrilling showdown where the champion will walk away with a million-dollar prize.
