Thomas Waterzooi Unveils Mobile Art Experience Game

Author : Finn Jan 19,2026

Thomas Waterzooi is back with another unconventional art-based puzzle game, but this time players are told not to touch—just watch. His upcoming mobile title, Please, Watch The Artwork, made its debut at the Day of the Devs showcase during Summer Game Fest 2025.

Following the successful releases of Please, Touch The Artwork in 2022 and its sequel in early 2024, Please, Watch The Artwork carries on the series' quirky exploration of interactive art, this time with a psychological twist.

This spin-off does not replace the anticipated Please, Touch The Artwork 3, which Waterzooi confirms is still in development. Take a first look at the reveal here.

Please, Watch The Artwork on Mobile: An Experience of Eerie Quiet and Subtle Dread

At its heart, the game is a spot-the-difference experience. You step into the shoes of a night watchman at the MaMA (Museum of Animated Modern Art), monitoring surveillance feeds of paintings that mysteriously shift and transform.

Your task is to identify these subtle changes and report them before a creeping sense of unease sets in. Inspired by the works of Edward Hopper, the game brings over 40 reimagined paintings to life across six distinct, themed galleries.

You'll encounter looping, breathing scenes of empty diners, melancholic bedrooms, and shadow-filled streets. The game features no soundtrack, relying instead on the ambient soundscape of each scene. Sound itself becomes a crucial detail to observe, as audio anomalies also count toward the puzzles.

Please, Watch The Artwork is set to launch on Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch, with a hinted mobile release window of October. The announcement was delivered by Waterzooi in an ASMR-style voiceover, adding a surreal touch. Visit the official website for more details on the game.
