Exciting news for fans of the heartwarming Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso: a fourth season is officially on the way, as confirmed by star and producer Jason Sudeikis. During a lively chat on the New Heights sports podcast hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, Sudeikis shared the much-anticipated update. The conversation, featured in a snippet from the podcast's latest episode, showcased the Kelce brothers' keen interest in the future of the series post its Season 3 finale in summer 2023.

"That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now," Sudeikis revealed, adding a tantalizing detail: "Ted’s coaching a women’s team." This announcement, shared via a tweet from the New Heights account, marks the first solid update on the show's continuation in nearly two years, bringing relief and excitement to fans eager for more of the feel-good soccer series.

While the setting and whether Season 4 will be the final chapter remain undisclosed, Sudeikis humorously dodged Travis Kelce's question about a potential return to the U.S., saying, "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know."

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Juno Temple to reprise her role as Keeley, with Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. The report also hints that filming for the first episode of Season 4 will kick off in Kansas City before moving back to the UK, with production slated to begin in July.

Apple TV+ is actively working to reignite interest in Ted Lasso. Although specific release dates and plot details are still under wraps, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its long hiatus with a post that read, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?"

The last significant update on Ted Lasso came in summer 2024, when Deadline reported that Season 4 was gearing up for greenlight status.
