Teardown Adds Multiplayer, Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and responding to fan requests. This new feature will first be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to get early access and provide feedback. The team is particularly eager to hear from the modding community, as updates to the game's API will enable modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer use.

In addition to the multiplayer mode, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, allowing players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer mode will initially be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, where players can test the feature. Alongside this, the developers will roll out API updates to support modders in adapting their existing mods for multiplayer environments. Once the testing phase is successfully completed, multiplayer will become a permanent part of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more information to be released later in 2025. This roadmap showcases the team's commitment to expanding and enhancing the Teardown experience for its dedicated player base.
