Author : Joseph Apr 09,2025

*Phasmophobia*'s Survival of the Fittest Weekly Challenge is a thrilling yet daunting experience that pushes players to their limits. Here's how you can conquer this harrowing challenge and emerge victorious.

How To Complete The Survival of the Fittest Challenge in Phasmophobia

Survival of the Fittest is among the most challenging tasks in *Phasmophobia* to date, stripping players of crucial tools and sanity. The challenge requires you to accurately identify the ghost without relying on traditional evidence or the safety of sanity preservation.

You'll need to undertake this challenge at **42 Edgefield Road**, a house-style map notorious for its tight corridors and blind corners, which complicates tracking and evading the ghost.

Tips & Tricks To Complete Survival of the Fittest in Phasmophobia

When you arrive at 42 Edgefield Road, remember you won't have access to standard evidence-gathering equipment like Ghost Writing Books or DOTs Projectors, nor will you have Video Cameras. Instead, focus on the ghost's unique behaviors, such as its movement speed and ghost model, to make your identification.

Utilize the provided tools effectively. The Parabolic Microphone can pick up distinct screams from a Banshee or the frequent sounds of a Myling. Using Salt on the floor can help identify a Wraith, while lighting three Firelights in a row might reveal an Onyro. If you're struggling, refer to a comprehensive guide on No Evidence ghost behaviors.

You start with virtually no setup time and zero sanity, making you an immediate target for ghost hunts. Sanity cannot be restored, even with the Sanity Medications provided. The ghost will exhibit high activity and frequent events, which can be terrifying but useful for understanding its behavior. Keep in mind that the ghost's favorite room will remain constant, despite its ability to roam.

Most doors will be partially open, making it harder to pinpoint the ghost's location. However, the fuse box will be functional and turned on from the start, a rare advantage. All nine hiding spots at 42 Edgefield Road will be available, offering ample opportunities for safety during hunts.

The challenge provides one Cursed Possession – the **Monkey Paw**. Using it to "wish for knowledge" can eliminate incorrect evidence and ghost types in your Journal, increasing your chances of correct identification. However, this wish comes with significant risks, including temporary blindness and deafness, followed by a Cursed Hunt starting near you. This strategy works best in groups, where one player can act as a sacrifice.
