Stalker 2: How To Get The Unique Cavalier Rifle

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers a diverse arsenal, letting players tailor their loadout to their preferred combat style. Beyond standard firearms, unique weapon variants with enhanced stats and modifications exist, one of which is the Cavalier sniper rifle. This distinctive weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it exceptionally effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire it.

Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle

The Cavalier Sniper Rifle is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You might already be familiar with this area if you previously retrieved the Journalist's stash. Entering via the secondary entrance will prove straightforward.

Accessing the Warehouse

Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit building (as indicated on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Be wary of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they're aggressive and will attack on sight. Approach cautiously to avoid a confrontation.

Proceed through the greenhouse into the warehouse. Expect a significant rat infestation upon entry; these vermin will rapidly deplete your health. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear for cover. A grenade is recommended to quickly eliminate the rodent threat.

Retrieving the Cavalier

Once the rats are dealt with, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll notice yellow-painted wooden boards. Destroy these boards using your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will fall from above.

After securing the weapon, safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be further enhanced by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further amplified through upgrades and modifications. The Cavalier's red-dot sight makes it an ideal choice for players who prefer a scope-less sniper rifle, allowing for effective engagement in close to medium-range encounters.
