Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. The Japanese version will continue operation.
Two Months Remaining
The global version, launched in June 2020, will cease service in December. In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges ended after the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Despite stunning visuals, a great soundtrack, and a generous gacha system, the global version received mixed player feedback. Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global release lacked significant content updates, including the Solistia expansion and 6-star units, a year after their Japanese release. This content gap contributed to player dissatisfaction.
Player Feedback
Square Enix has closed several games this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile titles, highlighting a trend of mobile game closures.
