Author : Ellie Mar 26,2025

Exciting news for fans of the acclaimed co-op action adventure, Split Fiction—it's getting a film adaptation, according to Variety. The report indicates that a package is being put together as a response to numerous offers for the movie rights from "multiple top Hollywood studios."

Story Kitchen, a media company renowned for its expertise in film and TV adaptations of games and other non-traditional properties, is currently in the process of assembling the project's writers, director, and cast into a cohesive package deal. This is the same team that successfully handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' previous hit, It Takes Two. Story Kitchen, formerly known as dj2 Entertainment, has an impressive track record with projects such as the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.

At this stage, no further details about the Split Fiction film adaptation have been disclosed.

Adding to the good news, earlier this month it was confirmed that Split Fiction had sold over two million copies in its first week on sale. The game's success has been lauded by critics, with IGN's review describing it as an unmissable co-op adventure that remains fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration.
