Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has already secured renewals for Seasons 2 and 3. Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, confirmed this exciting news.
In an interview with The Movie Podcast, Winderbaum revealed that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half the animatics finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. The green light has also been given for Season 3.
"I'm completely enamored with these characters," Winderbaum shared. "I've read all the Season 2 scripts; we're halfway through the animatics. What Jeff Trammell [lead writer and executive producer] is building is really starting to pay off."
He continued, emphasizing the show's character development and the deepening narrative across seasons.

Winderbaum mentioned upcoming discussions with Trammell regarding Season 3's storyline, but refrained from offering release dates for either Season 2 or 3.
The series follows Peter Parker's high school journey as he develops his superpowers. Whether the subsequent seasons will chronologically follow his sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative narratives within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
