Slothwerks, the independent studio behind the acclaimed Meteorfall series, is returning with an exciting new card battler titled Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. Pre-registrations are now live on Android, marking the third installment in the series following Meteorfall (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019). The game is scheduled for release next month.
Setting the Scene
Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble is a roguelike deckbuilder where matches are swift, and success often hinges on thinking outside the box rather than adhering strictly to traditional tactics. Players assume control of a trio of heroes chosen from a roster of eight, each with their own unique deck.
The game boasts over 200 cards, offering players the ability to customize and enhance their decks mid-run through layered upgrades. Special "Wild Cards" enable players to bend or break the usual rules of engagement, while executing impressive feats during battles grants valuable buffs.
Between matches, players explore the eccentric town of Bramble Town, where strategic decisions must be made. Do you focus on upgrading your deck, training your heroes, or simply soaking in the quirky atmosphere?
A New Name for a Familiar World
Originally announced under the title Bramble Royale, the game underwent a rebranding due to confusion with battle royale games. Renamed Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble, the new title cleverly ties it back to the established Meteorfall universe, ensuring fans recognize it as part of the same whimsical and quirky world.
