Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking, Farming

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has recently unveiled a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch is designed to enhance the creative possibilities for players by introducing a host of new features. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, which allows survivors to whip up gourmet meals such as grilled chicken legs, perfectly complemented by a shot of Siberian vodka. Cooking these dishes involves following specific recipes, and consuming well-prepared food grants stat boosts and modifiers that can significantly improve gameplay.

In an exciting development for farming enthusiasts, chickens and chicks can now be kept in coops. These coops provide a nurturing environment where the birds can live, lay eggs, and flourish if properly cared for. Each chick comes with four essential attributes: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs will lead to the unfortunate demise of the birds. Chicken meat, once harvested, is perishable and will spoil over time unless preserved in a working refrigerator. Players will benefit from new timers on food items, which clearly indicate their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, the game now includes wild beehives that can be discovered on trees. Extracting honeycombs requires careful handling before relocating them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Dealing with bees can be challenging, as they are aggressive defenders of their hives. To avoid painful stings, players must don protective suits, douse themselves with water, or resort to using flamethrowers. A unique addition to the arsenal is the Bee Grenade, which looks like a jar of honey but, when broken, unleashes three swarms of furious bees, prompting players to scatter for safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete overhaul, now boasting a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This upgrade enables players to construct sophisticated automated systems and even entire factories, pushing the boundaries of what's possible within the game. In an effort to enhance the gaming experience, the developers have introduced premium servers. These are exclusive to players whose Rust inventory is valued at a minimum of $15, aiming to create a more enjoyable environment by filtering out cheaters and disruptive players.
