Rumor: Switch 2 Leak Reveals Possible Joy-Con Images

Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con Leak: A Closer Look at the Next-Gen Controller

Recent online leaks offer what appear to be the clearest images yet of the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Con controllers. While the current Switch continues to see game releases into 2025, speculation about its successor is intensifying, particularly with Nintendo confirming an announcement before the end of their 2024 fiscal year. A rumored March 2025 launch date further fuels the anticipation.

Numerous leaks have attempted to detail the Switch 2's specifications and features, with some claiming access to accurate photos of the console itself. Information regarding the continued use of Joy-Cons, along with their color schemes, has also surfaced. The latest leak, originating from a Chinese social media platform and shared on the r/NintendoSwitch2 subreddit by user SwordfishAgile3472, provides detailed images of the back and side of a left Joy-Con.

These images seemingly confirm the rumored magnetic connection for the Joy-Cons, replacing the rail-based system of the original Switch. The leaked photos showcase a predominantly black controller with blue accents, a reversal of the original Switch's blue Joy-Con design. The images also hint at a revised button layout, including larger "SL" and "SR" buttons and a third, unlabeled button on the back, potentially designed to release the magnetic connection.

The leaked Joy-Con design aligns with other recent leaks and mockups of the Switch 2 console. While these images offer a compelling glimpse, official confirmation from Nintendo remains awaited. Until then, the gaming community continues to speculate and eagerly anticipate the official unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2.
