You play as Wright, an apprentice under the Witch of Portals, Yuisil, within the Ancient Library. Wright's adventure involves delving into four magical books, each transporting him to a unique world. One book plunges you into a princess knight's quest to restore a fallen kingdom; another unveils the mysteries of the underworld. Your choices significantly impact these worlds, ensuring diverse and replayable experiences.
Novel Rogue Gameplay:
At its core, Novel Rogue features a turn-based card battle system that adapts to the chosen book. Each of the four worlds offers a distinct deck-building mechanic. Defeat foes, select from three new cards after each battle, and craft the ultimate deck.
Strategic elements include a "Change" command for shifting damage between allies and "Novel Power," which enhances your deck using ink. For a greater challenge, "Deep Record" mode increases dungeon difficulty.
Relationship building is a key element. Collect treasures to strengthen bonds with characters, potentially unlocking special endings. Aesthetic customization is possible with Witch Stones, allowing you to change character costumes.
Novel Rogue is free on the Google Play Store, with a premium version offering 150 bonus Witch Stones and additional benefits like ad removal.
