Revue Starlight Re LIVE Drops Collection Phase for EOS

Revue Starlight Re LIVE is officially shutting down. The mobile game, based on the popular anime, will cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, ending nearly six years of service.

Why the Shutdown?

While initially a promising extension of the Revue Starlight anime, Revue Starlight Re LIVE's performance has faltered over the past five and a half years. Players noted repetitive events, reused assets, and expensive battle passes as contributing factors. Unpopular plot developments, such as a sudden character shift, further impacted the game's appeal. The closure affects the game globally, including Japan.

Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted positive aspects. Its soundtrack, featuring music from the anime, and high-quality 3D graphics with Live2D animations were frequently praised.

A Final Farewell?

Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy the remaining content. Developers are launching several events in August and September, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free daily pulls and a two-month birthday celebration featuring new gacha events. Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience these final events.
