Honkai: Star Rail's Version 3.1, "Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne," launches February 26th, escalating the Flame-Chase Journey with new challenges and mysteries.
New 5-Star Characters Join the Fray
Version 3.1 introduces two formidable 5-star characters: Tribbie and Mydei. Following the securing of Nikador's Coreflame, the narrative shifts to the Grove of Epiphany, a new map where players rescue survivors and unravel the catastrophe's origins. The quest continues with the recovery of Cerces' Coreflame to restore hope to Okhema.
The update delves into the Abyss of Fate (formerly Janusopolis), now revealed in its Day State. This exploration unearths the long-lost history of the Era Chrysea and Tribbie's past. Tribbie (Tribios), the Holy Maiden of Janusopolis and a 5-star Quantum Harmony character, received a prophecy from Kephale about Deliverance. Mydei, the 5-star Imaginary Destruction crown prince of Castrum Kremnos, is a fierce warrior who utilizes his HP to power up, entering an enhanced form with automatic enemy attacks during his turns.

Returning Characters and Events
Version 3.1 also features the return of limited 5-star characters Yunli (first half of the warp event) and Huohuo (second half).
The Divergent Universe event returns with a research focus on Amphoreus and a new Day/Night battle system, altering combat with time-dependent buffs and effects. The "Awooo Firm" event lets players manage a chimera squad in Okhema.
