Marvel Rivals Season 1: Mastering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and game modes, along with a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free items, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on completing the Recursive Destruction challenge in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.
Understanding Recursive Destruction
The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. Not all objects are eligible; you must identify specific targets.
Locating Destructible Objects
To identify eligible objects, utilize Chrono Vision. Activated via the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console), Chrono Vision highlights destructible objects in red. Only red-highlighted objects will trigger Recursive Destruction.
Completing the Midtown Challenge
This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. After initiating the match, focus on the first checkpoint. At this point, two buildings appear, highlighted in red by Chrono Vision, which are the targets for Recursive Destruction.
During the match's action, locate and destroy these buildings multiple times. While you might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced gameplay, several hits should suffice to complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. Once completed, move on to subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
