A significant part of Citizen Sleeper 2 revolves around building your crew to successfully complete various contracts. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of acquiring each and every crew member in the game.
As a general rule, recruiting characters is often straightforward—when someone asks to join your team, simply accept their offer. However, there are certain scenarios where success during a contract or event can influence whether a character joins your crew permanently. Keep in mind that poor dice rolls or missed opportunities may result in losing a potential crew member entirely.

How to Recruit Serafin and Bliss
Serafin and Bliss are the first two members you’ll meet in Citizen Sleeper 2. While Serafin remains with the crew for the entire journey, he does not participate in contracts. Both Serafin and Bliss are automatically added to your party without any additional steps required.
How to Recruit Juni
You’ll first encounter Juni as a temporary crew member on Hexport. After completing the Idle Minds clock at Solheim Records, a cutscene will play, followed by a new contract. Upon completion, you’ll have the option to invite Juni back aboard permanently.
Recruiting Juni unlocks the Data Archaeologist achievement.
How to Recruit Yu-Jin
Yu-Jin becomes available after finishing the Getting Wracked clock at Gaia’s Gyre. To trigger this, select “Order a Wrack” four times, which costs a total of 16 Cryo. Once completed, Yu-Jin will offer you a contract. Completing it allows you to officially recruit him.
This action unlocks the The Freelancer achievement.
How to Recruit Luis
Luis can be recruited during the Aphelion Beacon contract, provided you choose to leave Yu-Jin behind. If you do so, Luis will become a permanent addition to your crew.
Doing so unlocks the Signalchaser achievement.
How to Recruit Kadet
Kadet first appears after completing the Spindle Core clock at its namesake location. This opens up a new drive and introduces the Stripline Express area on Far Spindle. Following a cutscene and further exploration, head to the Scatteryards (located elsewhere in The Belt) to finalize Kadet’s recruitment.
This unlocks the The Spindlejack achievement.
How to Recruit Femi & Nia
Femi and Nia follow a similar recruitment path, but you can only choose one of them. You’ll initially meet both on Hexport, but later encounter Femi again on Floatsam. He will ask you to take on a contract to ensure Nia’s safety. Complete the mission and decide between the two at the end.
Choosing Femi grants the Big Brother achievement, while selecting Nia awards the Little Sister achievement.
How to Recruit Flint
After visiting Olivera for the first time, you’ll receive a contract involving the disappearance of Flint and another character. Without giving away key plot points, this leads to a follow-up mission where timing and preparation are crucial. Successfully rescuing Flint alongside Xander will give you the option to bring him into your crew.
This action unlocks the Fugitive achievement.
