Even early-game skills from the basic trees can be quite costly. It's therefore crucial to engage with side content to bolster your strength for upcoming challenges on any difficulty. Below are several efficient strategies for farming Skill Points beyond simply progressing through the main story battles.
Earning Skill Points Quickly in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
You receive three Skill Points for every 100 enemy troops you defeat. While main battles provide numerous foes, their specific defeat conditions make them less ideal for focused farming, as your priority there should be defeating enemy officers to secure victory. A more effective approach is to explore the overworld and seek out Skirmishes.
During a Skirmish, ignore the enemy officers initially and concentrate solely on cutting down the endlessly respawning soldier waves. You'll consistently earn three Skill Points per 100 kills. These Skirmishes lack standard loss conditions; as long as you survive, they continue until you finally eliminate the required officers. By postponing that final step, you can farm enemy waves, achieving roughly 100 kills per minute depending on the Skirmish's enemy density.
Continue fighting in the same Skirmish until your health becomes critically low, then finish off the remaining officers to claim victory and a small bonus of Skill Points. This strategy can yield around 50 Skill Points in just a few minutes. To maximize efficiency, consider these tips:
- Use a spear-type weapon, as they excel at clearing groups of standard soldiers.
- Equip a Wellspring Gem to restore health with every 100 enemies defeated.
- An Oblivion Gem serves as a strong secondary choice for rapidly eliminating more foes.
Additional Methods for Acquiring Skill Points
Beyond farming Skirmishes, you can also earn Skill Points by completing Training objectives. As you advance the story and meet new characters, some will be available in the overworld to assign you these tasks. Many Training objectives are straightforward and can be completed through normal gameplay without extra effort. They can be fulfilled during any battle at any time, providing a steady stream of additional points, so be sure to speak with these characters whenever you encounter them.
