Author : Henry Feb 28,2025

Following months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions has been officially unveiled. This new multiplayer Pokémon battle game is a collaborative effort between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works (a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the developers of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl).

Pokémon Champions centers around competitive Pokémon battles, utilizing the series' core battle system. Players will engage in online battles against each other. The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastalization, hinting at a wide range of Pokémon and battle styles across various generations.

PlayFurthermore, seamless integration with Pokémon Home is confirmed, enabling players to transfer Pokémon from other games into Pokémon Champions, finally providing a purpose for those numerous Pokémon residing in players' boxes.

Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Pokémon Champions lacks a release date. However, it's been confirmed that Latin American Spanish will be included among the launch languages.

Interestingly, Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game as Pokémon Synapse, which leaked last year as part of the "Freak Leak." While initial details were scarce, suggesting a multiplayer focus with comparisons to Splatoon, the official reveal clarifies its core gameplay.
