Get ready for a double dose of Community Day fun in Pokémon Go! Karrablast and Shelmet will be the stars of the show on Sunday, February 9th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time. Expect increased wild spawns of both Pokémon, with a chance to encounter their Shiny forms! Standard Community Day bonuses will also be in effect.
Catch enough Karrablast and Shelmet during the event, and you'll be able to evolve them into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively, each learning a powerful, exclusive charged attack. Escavalier will learn Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 in Gyms and Raids), while Accelgor will learn Energy Ball (90 power in all battle types).
For an even more rewarding experience, grab the Community Day Special Research ticket for $2 (or local equivalent). This ticket unlocks a Dual Destiny-themed Special Background, additional encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet, a Premium Battle Pass, and Rare Candy XL.
Don't forget! A free Timed Research quest will be available to all players who log in during the event, offering more chances to catch these Pokémon and their Shiny variants. You can also redeem Pokémon Go codes for extra rewards!
Throughout the three-hour event window, enjoy triple XP and double Candy for catching Pokémon. Trainers level 31 and above will have an increased chance of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last three hours, and trading will be boosted with one extra Special Trade and 50% reduced Stardust costs.
Community Day-themed Field Research will offer Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters. Keep an eye out for PokéStop Showcases for additional participation opportunities.
Finally, stock up on supplies! Two Community Day bundles will be available in the in-game shop, along with an Ultra Community Day Box on the Pokémon Go Web Store, starting February 3rd.
