While not quite a full-numbered milestone, this anniversary promises unique rewards and a trip down memory lane as your Pikmin don stylish new looks inspired by Nintendo’s iconic gaming hardware from the '80s and '90s.
Starting May 1st, players will have the chance to earn exclusive Nintendo Game Consoles ’80–’95 Decor Pikmin by completing event-specific missions. These charming Pikmin variants are designed to resemble classic Nintendo consoles, offering a delightful homage to the company's rich gaming heritage.
But that’s not all—this update also pays tribute to Nintendo’s origins long before it became a video game giant. The Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin celebrates Nintendo’s early days as a manufacturer of physical toys and playing cards. These special Pikmin reflect the design of the original decks produced during Nintendo’s formative years, adding a touch of vintage elegance to your squad.

While many players may be especially drawn to the retro console-themed Pikmin, it’s worth appreciating the broader nod to Nintendo’s legacy. Interestingly, despite Pikmin having originated on the GameCube, no decor variant for that system is included in this release—making the absence all the more noticeable.
The anniversary festivities run from May 1st through May 31st, giving you plenty of time to gather Game Button Cells by participating in event missions. These cells can then be used to grow the new Decor Pikmin varieties. Premium Event Pass holders will also enjoy additional perks throughout the celebration, with even more surprises scheduled to arrive as part of the ongoing 3.5th anniversary event.
