The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Pikmin Bloom has always delighted us with unique decor, from Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles to those sporting Playing Cards. Now, for its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking us on a nostalgic journey back to the classic Nintendo game consoles of the 80s and 90s.
Adding to the excitement, Niantic introduces a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin. This is a heartfelt tribute to Nintendo's early days as a playing card manufacturer before venturing into the realm of video games. The designs are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks, making them a must-have for collectors and fans alike.
The anniversary event runs from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you ample time to engage in event missions and collect these unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can sprout into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, keep an eye out for Brilliant Mushrooms. Destroying these mushrooms will grant you Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. Notably, Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May is also the month of blooming beauty in Pikmin Bloom. Plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around your seedlings, and you might see them blossom into stunning carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or special anniversary roses.
Moreover, the nectar update means that fruit from mushrooms harvested in May will yield nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
